Each one of these members brings a powerful testimony and passion to see others encounter the God who saved them. I am thrilled, and to be honest, a bit overwhelmed by the ways I will be stretched in Tokelau with this team. God must have amazing things planned for us to be going with a team of 13 to a nation with only 1,500 people – and I highly anticipate the awe-inspiring stories we will see.
Here’s a look at my team, please be praying for us as we prepare to spend 2 months in Tokelau on outreach from mid-September to mid-November.
Leaders:
Sara: From Alaska, Sara has become one of my best friends on staff here. She is incredibly wise and one of the most personable people I know.
Ina: One of the strongest leaders among the Samoan staff,Ina has the biggest servant heart I have ever seen in anyone. He needs some serious financial support.
Marisa: Originally from Texas, Marisa has been serving with YWAM for over 3 years. She is also in need of financial assistance to help lead this team.
Sharlene: Born and raised in Australia, this Samoan woman isliterally the most joyful member of our staff. She has the loudest laugh and acontagious smile. She will need some financial support as well.
Students:

Maddie: From Washington, this young lady has been so much fun to get to know of her deep joy and ability to care for people.

Junior: One of our youngest Samoan students, he is also one of the quietest, however Junior has amazing gifts that are just beginning to be unpackaged. He will need some miraculous financial support to come on outreach with us.

Site: This is the young man I wrote about in my last update. He came into the DTS having gone to church his entire life, however he actually became a Christian in our second week of DTS! The day after he received Christ, he was on an evangelism team that saw one of the nation’s gang leaders received Christ, and come under the conviction of Holy Spirit – immediately going to the police to confess murder. Site will also need financial assistance to go on outreach.

Christian: From Alabama, this young man walks in an incredible amount of wisdom for his age. He is one of the most outgoing and personable students we have and I’m thrilled to have him joining us.

Jake and Tammy: Our only couple in the DTS, these guys are amazing! They both hunger after the things of God unlike I’ve seen before in a DTS. Together they bring even more stability and peace to our team.

Kayla: She was one of the last students to submit an application to the DTS after a friend gave me her number. I called her 3 weeks before the school began and 2 days after she graduated high school she was on her way here for DTS! Kayla has already experienced amazing transformation in her life and I had the privilege of also witnessing her baptism this week! She is full of life and walks in a beautiful manner of openness. Kayla is still in need of financial assistance for her outreach.

Peres: Over the last month I have seen him grow in phenomenal measures as he has begun to truly walk into the love of Christ and the fear of the Lord. A pastor’s son, he has been raised with a strong ability to teach and a desire to see everyone come into relationship with God. He has great financial need as well.

Amy: This young lady has a wonderful heart. She has been through some hard years, but is walking in the victory of Christ and receiving amazing heart changes. I am so excited to walk with her through the rest of this DTS and so blessed by the part that she brings to the team.
